Discover Downtown

Downtown Cynthiana’s recent surge of energy and entrepreneurial spirit is just as inspiring as its history. Within recent years the town has seen the opening of new shops and restaurants, upgrades to the historic Rohs Opera House, and numerous renovation projects. We encourage you to visit our Pocket Park on Main Street and our new public restroom facility while shopping, dining and enjoying all our downtown has to offer. You're sure to find a delicious fall-themed treat or unexpected shopping treasures!

And don't forget to take photos with the fall decor around town! Look for the ready-made photo ops we have set up, or pose with some of the dozens of skeletons downtown alone. There are lots of instagrammable moments.

Whatever you decide to do, enjoy!

Canoe or Kayak

The fall foliage is gorgeous along the beds of the South Fork and Middle Forks of the Licking River. With miles of river to explore and four boat access ramps in the county, you can spend hours drifting, paddling and relaxing as the brilliant autumn scenery slips by. There's great fishing too, so grab your canoe or kayak, pick up our Licking River Guide, and get paddling!
